I just picked up a 98 XLS myself and I'm going to put 16's or 17's on mine, too. Anybody think 17's are too big?

Also, anyone have aftermarket shocks and struts on their Avy to tighten up the ride a bit? Maybe adjustable?

Sorry rey, didn't mean to steal your thread.

I have a 98 XLS and I got the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S they are pretty good. Good traction, improved handling. The handling on this car isn't that great in the first place though, these tires helped a little bit.

215/60/R16x5" with a drop won't rub. 215/60/R16x7.5" with a drop would rub a little. I don't know about offset though.
