Water coming in the trunk

On the right side of the trunk under the carpet it is soaked, almost as if water is coming in from the bottom, and not leaking in through the lid. How can I fix this and have you ever heard of this?

i think there is a trunk vent in the rear fenders behiend the carpet, its possible that if you went through a lot of rain or puddles, that thats how the water got in there. it would appear as its coming up from the bottom in such a case.

When the trunk is wet, feel beneath the area where where the trunk lid attaches. Water can leak down from the rear window and other areas, travel down the side of the trunk and look like a leak from the bottom of the car.
