I am in the process of searching for an Avalon. I am looking at mid to late 90's. Is there any problems I need to watch out for in those years? I have always had Toyotas, but I have never owned an Avalon so I dont want any surprises.

Suggest also doing a TN history search in the Camry forum. The V6 Camry is almost the same car as the Avalon. Many potential Camry owners have asked exactly the same question.

i don't think there is anything in particular to watch out for. i've seen some on this forum talk about bad rack n pinion on early models. i think it's pretty much the same things to watch for as for any used cars, who owned it, what service has it had and has it been serviced regularly, has it been wrecked etc. etc.
