First to have the idea? No

But yes its possible. It all comes down to how much money you got.

Don't even bother if you don't have much money/knowledge.

yeah, there are people out there that boost their avalons, TRD even makes a blower for the 1mzfe, as far as turbos go, i dont think many people have thrown a trubo on an avy simply because thats not the type of car it is, its a full size luxury sedan, not a ricer, but itd be cool to see one. another reason as said before, was the costs involved once you get into like 10+ psi on replacing the internals and all. but if you want to do it, more power to ya, all i ask is for pics cause id be awesome to see.

I guess my friend is a ricer since he turbo'ed his car. I better go make fun of him for that and call him a rice boy to his face and start writing the word rice on his rice car. Wasn't fast or anything, just ran a 12.xx on the quarter mile.

And I wasn't aware that the internals knew how much boost is running before it dies.....

Hmm W, do I detect a hint of sarcasm?
As to the OP, I think there is someone on these forums who has a blown GenI, though I can't think of who it is off the top of my head.

Everything.

You want to boost your Avalon and my friend boosted his Integra

But read the post from beginning to end again please.

And visit homemadeturbo.com, you should get all your info there on a custom kit since I doubt they will have a turbo kit or an affordable one atlease.

If you are referring to me I would have to say please reread the posts one more time since it doesn't seem like you are comprehending my posts as well as the sarcasm part....

I was illustrating a point made by cexsiman about how he thinks you should not boost you Avalon because its not some "ricer car." Nothing wrong with boost, Mercedes does it to their AMG for power and yet they are luxurious, BMW fitted two turbos to their new 3 series etc.

Any updates on your turbo "plans?"

where do you get off thinking i meant boost was in any way a bad thing? boost is boss, but it all about how you do it, i'm not a fan of a loud busted ride that someone put a turbo on to look cool. he didnt directly say turbo, he said he wanted to boost his car, you assumed turbo. I have looked into boosting my car as well i knew and know i dont have the scratch to do it. I was just pointing out that hey. and its not ricey to boost a car. aparantly you didnt get the fact that i was saying that an avalon is an avalon not an integra, luxury family sedan is not compact sports car. and be my guest if you want to tell ur friend that his car is ricey if it is, and if he can hear you over that fart coming out of his tin can exhaust

Whoa there cowboy, I was going to let it slide but assuming my friend's car has a "fart can" just makes you that much closed minded. Gee, thanks for assuming that all Hondas have fart cans and are all ricers. Rice this rice that welcome to the year 2007, please leave 1997 behind. Lets see your ride, it better be a good one since your passing judgement upon others. My friend's Integra is a sleeper, no exterior mods except for tires and its all performance. But that is besides the point.

Since when is a luxury sedan not the type to be boosted (lets say turbo in this case)? I hope I'm reading your post loud and clear because its clearly posted and bolded. And I do hope you know that the engine internals do not know how much boost your running but by power figures. So I dunno where you got the 10+ PSI from. 10 PSI from a larger turbo differs from 10 PSI from a smaller turbo.

And I'm done answering these type of threads where posters just wants to be spoonfed info without showing any initiative. There are lazy noobs and there are noobs that show effort. All talk and no action makes 90% of this board.

But have a day

welcome, some of us try and give the input we can, others have to be "better" than everyone else. you just gotta take what some guys say with a grain of salt. if he wants to gloat about his friends integra, then he should go to a honda page.
