I usually use www.fueleconomy.gov to check out mpg ratings of years/makes etc. Sorry, I have an '98 and can't help you with a '99 other than saying my '98 gets 31 mpg hwy at 77mph and 22 mpg around town mixed driving.

intake and exhaust help your mpg, is it worth it? depends on the car, but as everyone will tell you, dont expect to get the same mpg as a corolla in an avalon. ive had a few higher line fuel injector cleaners help and i believe i get a little better mpg with premium, weather its worth it or not, well last tank it was a $3 difference in total fill-up cost, which is a little more than the cost of a gallon of gas, so if i get like 2mpg better per gallon, then its worth the extra.

Calculate not the miles per gallon but the $ per gallon on each octane. That will tell you if the higher priced gas is worth it.

leadsled toy gets almost exactly what I do, but I get about 1-2 miles less on the highway.
Here is the best way to calculate mileage I've found and it's easy. I do it each time I put gas in.

Fill up your tank till the gas spigot turns itself off.
Hit your trip odometer
Fill up again till the gas spigot turns itself off.
Take the exact miles on the trip odometer and divide by the number of gallons you added.
This is an actual calculation and not an approximation.
Let us know what you get.

*Make sure all your tires are properly inflated, this makes a small difference, but can also improve the ride.

agreed, under inflated tires make more of a difference than many people realize

To emphasize the above, the only problem some can have is to only drive a short distance (1/4 tank or less). Each spigot turns off at different times at different stations etc. Best thing to minimize the effect of different turn offs is to drive your tank from FULL as described above to nearly empty. Then a small difference spigot to spigot won't matter.

Just like described above. Use up the full tank if possible to minimize error.
