DRL -- gone!?!

So the DRL in my '99 Avalon are gone. They do not come on anymore. Both high and low beams work fine. What could have happenned? (Not sure I want to correct it, but it would be nice to figure it out.)

Thanks,
GregS_WI

check your bulbs first, maybe they are both blown. Then check the DRL fuse.

Aren't DRL the low beams at reduced power? Maybe I just assumed that's how they worked on the Avalon. I checked the manual for DRL, but I didn't go into the specifications for bulbs/fuses. I will do so.

Thanks.

I think the DRL is the HI-BEAM at reduced wattage (check and see if you're hi-beams are functioning)...generally this is how it is on all cars that don't have bi-xenon projector headlights.
