Guys-
Quick question. I bought my '98 Avalon a month ago w/ one master key and no remotes. I've purchased a remote and found it worked intermittently. So I returned it to the seller (ebay) and was sent what I believe is a different one, but I don't know for sure.
We just programmed it for the car and it seemed to take the programming well. It unlocked only the drivers' door but would lock all doors (except pass front which needs a new actuator I think). It worked the trunk initially too.
After an hour and going back to try it again, now it doesn't work.
This happened w/ the first remote, so I put in a new battery, which didn't help. I haven't tried a new battery here yet.
Is there a sensor I can clean off or anything I can do to make this work more effectively??
