Correct spark plugs 97 xls

I just changed the valve cover gaskets and thought it was wise to change the spark plugs at the same time due to easy access especially for the rear ones. In my "rush" I went to Advanced Auto and NGK Iridium were recommended so I installed them. Car with 80 k and seems to run fine. However browsing through the manual "after the fact" there is mention that only plugs with double electrodes should be used for optimum performance. The ones I took out were originals and double electrodes. The NGK are single electrode type...Should I be Overly concerned???

its not all that bad but its not gonna run that strong from a performance standpoint.... it would be wise to get the double prong

I agree.... The Denso cost about $60 at Deathzone auto parts.... but worth it in terms of performance and smoothness.... and you don't want plugs that will run hotter or cooler than factory ones... you're asking for problems...
