I didn't know if there were any HIDs for avalon. The only thing I have seen for it is the "looks like HID" star something brand. Good luck with it!

When you want sports car handling, you buy a sports car.

wow, what a huge difference, my question is was there any modifications needed to the bulb socket to get them to fit? or any fabrication needed? i have heard and experienced that in other cars and installs.

no fabs. just plugs into your wiring harness and twists into your headlamp.

i've got hid's on my avalon. the only problem i had was the plug had to be switched around in the ballast. the positive and negative were reveresed. some cars have it one way, other have it the opposite

Exclamation Done

Install took 10 /15 min per light. it took longer to get the housings out of the car than anything else! There is the bolt in the grille to the bumper, the two on top of the housings, and the last on is between the headlight and the turn signals, and you have to wiggle the corner lamps out to get to it. they are all 10mm's so that makes it easier, all i needed was a phillips and a 10mm socket. they look amazing. they werent direct twist ins, so all i did was unscrew the metal locking thing that was screwed into the housing, and i screwed it back on with the housing with the lip of the bulb behind it. the ballasts are between the housing and the raidiator supports quite securely.

i just really need to clean up my housings to get the full effect, they are much too yellow for my liking.

here are some pics of the differences

Dang, that looks nice. Any chance you are going to do high beams too (if it can be done)?

Are you getting anybody flashing there lights at you? Your HID's seem so much brighter I wonder if they blind oncoming drivers. -- is it that they put out more light, or, just better light?

Where to buy?

so far, no flashes, and ive been driving at night a lot

its triple fold i believe, more light, better light (color and brighter) and they use less power.

i paid 75 for them from a friend because they were used and didnt fit his car, so i lucked out.

Can you tell me what vendor/brand you used? I also want to replace my head lamps but I have no idea where to start.

Thanks
