Differential fluid replacemant

I have drained the differential fluid from my 95 Avalon. I am unable to refill using the refill hole shown in the Toyota manual. No matter how slowly I pump new fluid into the hole it runs right back out of the hole as if it's already full. What am I doing wrong? I did this service once before and don't remember having this problem.

make sure you are not blocking the fill hole completely because it needs to be vented when you are filling it up (ie where are all the gases in the deferential gonna go when you replace it with fluid).

hope it helps

Thanks, but that's just not what's happening.
