LOL the only time they ever see me is when I need a timing belt replaced.....or to buy parts.
Though I 99% DIY everything - I don't know why I am hesitant to tackle the timing belt - everytime I read thru the write-up, it just seems like it would be a very daunting task. Anywho, it was discovered that I've never had the water pump replaced (they recommend doing it with every belt??) so I told them to take care of it. Also, I noticed somebody at check-in - hovering over my battery. Yes, I knew it was getting near the end of its life, so sure enough, their tester showed CCA's to be way down. Their Toyota Battery has a lifetime full replacement warranty and it was only $85.00 installed.
(How can you lose? But will I have the car another 5 years????)
With all my coupons and some begging, I was out the door that afternoon with my wallet $600.00 lighter.
LOL I forgot to pick up some spark plugs while I was at the dealership, so on the way home I stopped by the NAPA store - they charged me $82.00 for 6 NGKs. I was ballistic! I walked out the door, got back in my car and called the dealer - they only wanted $60.00 for the OE DENSOs. So I got a refund on the NAPA NGKs and headed back to the dealership for spark plugs and a PCV valve. I've spend the last 24 hours draining my transmission fluid. I'm almost done with my 180K PM. Tires rotated and brake fluid flushed. I'd just replaced the P/S pump and rack & pinion last spring, as well as the air filter.
I think I'm done.
Did I miss anything?
