You just can't buy Dexron II anymore (1996)

For the longest time I did not think much about it. First it was Dexron II/III was all I could find off the shelf. Then for awhile I ran REDLINE synthetic ATF.
However, for grins, on my lastest (180K mile) flush, I decided to go back to dino oil. [I just want my tranny fluid to be red (not amber as is the syn)!!]

Valvoline's Max Life is now DexronIII/Mercon. Shifts seem even more imperceptible than before - or could it just be my imagination???

[Sheesh, Valvoline ATF at $3.59 a qt and Toyota antifreeze at $19 a gallon - where will the upward spiral end???]
