cd player problems

I have a 96 avalon. I took out the old cd player to put in my own and I can't figure out how to put the new one in. I have tried bypassing the amp and I have tried the harness at walmart for a toyota and none of them work. Any suggestions?

You've probably bought the wrong harness adapter - if it came with two plugs it is for a non-amplified type of radio. You need the adaptor for a factory amp radio, its available at crutchfield http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...112&c=3&tp=736

That should do the trick, assuming you've creectly hooked up th eother wiring. Good luck.
