1997 Avalon XL- Worst Sun Visor Design IN HISTORY!!!!

Wow, usually I drive the avalon without passangers, but yesterday I was with my bro. He's in the front passanger seat and pulls down his sun visor because a sun ray was shining right at us. The design of the passanger sun visor is so poor that it totally throws off the rear view mirror everytime you pull it down. Driver side visor is good but that passanger one really pissed me off. You guys know what I'm talking about? I can take pics if you want, I mean it's rediculous. Sorry for the rant.

That's not how it was designed. Did you buy your avalon used? I have an oversized Broadway mirror on mine and it barely clears the visor on the passenger side, so stock it's perfectly fine. Either your mirror fell off the windshield and was stuck back on wrong, or quality control was getting coffee when your car was made.

its not that it "barely" clears..... the visor is like 3-4 inches too long in the inner end. when I say it throws the mirror off, it rotates it 45 degrees.

I haven't had any problems with mine in my '95. Take some pics.

Yes i understand that. I was merely stating my situation as an example because I have an oversized mirror and it can barely clear the visor. Like I said before, either your mirror fell off before and it was put back in the wrong spot, or QC didn't do a good job. Did you buy your car used?

I also drive a 95...nothing seems to be wrong on mine either. You know, I haven't heard the term 'Quality Control' in forever. LOL. I grew up in Georgetown...parents worked at Toyota and so I heard all kinds of stuff...oh good times.

...and if the visor were smaller - small enough to clear your mirror - would you be ranting about how it's not large enough to block the sun?
