She's not much to look at, all beat to hell. Previous owners weren't very nice to her, but I love her anyways.

I like the snow pics bc you can't tell how bad she really is!

Oh yeah, she got saran wrapped....

Finally got it to work..

I just have a few cosmetic mods for now, hopefully going to do something more serious when I have time and money.

Theres someone in your car looking at me!
Should I post pictures as of now or 4months ago? :P

That was back when all I had was a radio.

But now everything is covered and snow and when I clean it, it snows or rains 24 hours later.. |:

I noticed the person too. My poor car hasn't been washed in forever. She's a dirty girl, lol.

Medi. I like the silver door trim.

damnit, I was hoping nobody would notice it lol

I took so many pictures that day that my friend got cold and went inside, of course the best one was when he got into the car :-/

Yeah, the trim is badass, it was cheap too, less than 40 bucks.

Where'd you get it? It adds a touch of "bling" to it. Was it hard to replace?

on Ebay, just search for chrome door pillars for avalon.
There were a couple of stores which sold them, one of them was in Brooklyn, I called them up and bough it from the directly, unfortunatly I think they went out of business. The installation is tricky, you have to be very carefull.

USA 97 XLS slideshow from Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/1001jim...ith/440819624/

Found this Avalon at a local Dodge dealership March 07 priced at only $1790.
It had 181,000 miles on it and was still in great shape. Bought it for my wife
and she just loves it. Had to put some minor work into like Stabilizer links and
coolant flush. Going to need new brake pads soon to. But overall, Fantastic
deal for 97 Avalon XLS.

Makes ya wonder, I had to change a bulb on the corner light on my wifes and
it was a real bitch to get that housing loose to change it. They rest in some
sort spring clips that hold these plastic pins on the back of the housing. They
look pretty delicate if you force them they could break. I wonder if they are
same style mounts.

They look about the same size though.

yeah I've been looking at those for months, they look the same as the 99 ones but I want to make sure.
And yes I did have problems pulling mine out, I did break one of the housings but you don't even need to push them in, they hold fine with screws
