A/C not cold enough

As the weather is getting warmer I noticed the A/C isn't as cold as it should be. I have a 98 XLS. I had the auto dial at around 65 and it really didn't feel cold at all. It isn't warm or anything but definitely not 65. Is this low freon levels? If so, how much is a recharge?

i think you can get a can of r134a a/c refrigerant for something like 10 bucks at most places, i have never had to buy it but thats what comes to mind. and its pretty easy to put in, should just be screwing on the nozzle to an easy to access line.

Find the A/C dryer/receiver located engine compartment drivers side next to the radiator. It looks like a small container and has a small sight glass on the top allowing viewing of the Freon. If the system is low on Freon there will be bubbles in the coolant as the A/C operates.

If you do get a Freon refill kit, only add as much to the system to eliminate the bubbles. Overfilling can result in problems.
