'99 Avalon alarm issue

Greetings,

I guess I am now the official new guy on this forum so please be gentile.

Now for the question....

I have a '99 Avalon that I have lost the remote fob for. The battery just died so I had to replace it. Now the alarm is activated and I can't get it to start.

I'm told that there is supposed to be a button on the dash that bypasses it, but all I see is a hole where the button is supposed to be. There is no wiring harness behind this hole so I'm guessing that there has never been a button there.

Any idea how I can bypass the alarm so I can get it started again?

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Freet

i'm not sure if this will work or not, but the alarm module is in the trunk behind the carpet on the drivers side insde rear. about on the other side of where the gas filler neck is. maybe maybe if you unplug the module the car will start.

Thanks guys,

After posting this thread I decided to do a "roof to concrete" search of my house and finally found the key fob.

I do appreciate the kind responses though.

Thanks again,
Freet
