96 avalon audio help

I was wondering if anyone has tried messing around with the speaker housing on the doors and tried installing bigger speakers (5", 6"), and could you post pictures of the custom things installed. And i have a system sitting in my garage from another vehicle and wanted to know where you ran the wires to get to the batter and through the firewall. any help would be appreciated thank you.

first of all, just glad we have another sofla guy here, i'm representing 561 lol. i have had that same idea, and the solution i came up with was one of two things.
1. splice into the rear channels and run the wires back through the door and under the carpet, behiend the seats and to the rear deck.
2. pull the wires from the back door back through and into the car, put a small amp under the passenger seat and then run the wires.

i figure that you would want the same sound running out of the rear deck speakers (more or less) and this way you wouldnt be worrying about crossovers and the $$ of a big system. but i havent got around to it, and just replaced my door speakers and all instead. its pleanty good for me.

You could also try doing a thread search as the topic of aftermarket door speakers has been covered recently.

Also what speakers would you use for the 2 in the back, woofers, or speakers? and would i need a new amp to do this? sorry im not much of a audio guy
