99 XLS Cabin Air Filter Replacement ?

Is there a cabin air filter that can be replaced on a 99 XLS? The dealers online parts site shows a filter, but no aftermarket filters are shown. The maintenance schedule does not show a filter.

i reallllly dont think so, i have a 98' XL and there is no cabin air filter. i believe it was one of the many changes to the 00 and up model. if you did have one it would be located behiend the glove box.

The rear glove box compartment looks like solid wall. Do I need to remove the whole compartment to see the filter housing or would I see it in the rear of the glove box? Thx.

i believe you would have to remove the glovebox. but do a search on the forum, there should be a few posts on it.
