Exclamation Seafoam Video

So i have been debating weather or not to seafoam my engine, because i was uncomfortable pouring something into my intake, but i finally got up and did it. it is a lot easier to do than i had thought. all i needed was a buddy and some vice grips (and seafoam) and it took all of 10 mins to do. here is what the exhaust looks like after waiting 5 minutes after stalling the engine with seafoam.

I havent had the chance to see if there is better throttle response and/or gas mileage. I'm also changing my oil tomorrow so that should help as well. i'll keep everyone updated on gas mileage and response and if i royally messed anything up. (i'm still a little bit worried about that)

Where did you suck in the Seafoam through? I used the brake booster cable and had a similar result as shown in your video. I've heard that there is another place you can use, but I don't know where it is.

I used Seafoam Deep Creep and sprayed it directly into the throttle body. It removed the built up carbon that had caked on there from 13 years/150,000mi of use. My pedal used to stick a bit, but after using the Deep Creep it returned to normal.

As far as gas mileage, I really didn't see a difference. I did notice the engine seemed to idle a little smoother, but that could be my mind playing tricks on me.

i used the brake booster vacuum line and a funnel. i know there are probably other locations that you can use, but that was by far the best choice. easy as pie to get to, effective at distribution to all cylinders and no mess! i let it sit overnight and no more carbon coming out. however during my oil change today the rubber gasket stuck from the old filter and i didnt notice. put the new filter on, let the car run, i peeked under the hood, and oil EVERYWHERE! it didnt seal at all and i squirted about a quart of oil out between the filter and the block. not fun, but i am so glad that i noticed it and didnt blow all my oil and my motor.
