'95 Left front ABS speed sensor
The ABS light blinked out a 32 after jumping the ABS diagnostic port - factory service manual indicates left front ABS speed sensor. Thought I'd first clean off the sensor head - ended up having to dig the sensor out - no way was it going to slip out after removing the 10mm bolt. The dealer wants ~$177 for a replacement and Rock Auto has a generic replacement for ~$90.
My questions: other than differences in the length of wire to the sensor and maybe the electrical connector, are all the sensors the same? Do all first gen sensors fit?
I was figuring that a used rear sensor may be in better shape because the rear brakes don't heat up as much as the front.
I want to minimize the sensor cost, because the expensive ABS computer/valve body may be bad also.
Thanks for your help.
