02 woes

hey gang,

I just replaced the oxygen sensors on the manifold and the one after the cat. but I still get the P0150 and P0153 error codes. is there something else that can cause this? I do have an after market short ram intake made for the 1mz (Solara) engine. I had the engine light on shortly after I installed it a year ago. thanks alot!

i have the same intake and since i put it on my CEL has been blinking like a christmas tree. its been off for a while. I take it that Po150 is rear bank too lean maybe? try driving your car very easy for like 200 miles or so and see if it will turn off. since i have been driving mine easier, i believe the engine meters less air and in turn doesnt throw a code. good luck.

Those codes point toward either a bad primary sensor, or a fuel trim problem. Given that you replaced both sensors and the problem came about after you put the intake on, it's safe to assume the problem is with the "ram" intake. Just put the stock setup back on.
