Praking Brake light On

On my '97 Avalon the brake light on the dash comes on intermittently especially when starting the car up in the morning in the first few minutes of driving. The braking light can come back on/off while driving.

The brake fluid level is full (no more capacity to add more). The brake pads have much life left on it. And yes, the emergency brakes are released. Any idea why the brake light comes on?

There is some sort of short in the brake lighting system.. I had it when they installed my alarm system, and it turned out to be eletricity was filtering back through the alarm relay, so a couple of diodes solved that problem and my light went away. But in general I would check and make sure my lights are working at the time that light comes on. I've seen that happen with intermittent bulbs.
