Lowering kits

What's a good brand for a lowering kit? I was looking into getting one for my '99 avalon. They have a tociko kit on performancecenter.com for like $470 and that includes springs and struts.

Anything better out there?

The only ones I could think would be better would be some Tein shocks...but I doubt they make a kit for the Avalon.

I dunno man. My '96 is already low for stock (I usually hit speed bumps and dips if i forget). BUt then again a 99 is taller than a 96. If you were to get it lowered, get it to about 55 inches off the ground (My car is less than that right now since the shocks are 12 years old...)

Yeah, I think that the new models were made a little higher. I have a '98 with the original shocks/springs and I only have a few problems on big speed bumps and steep driveways and whatnot. The only reason for those problems, though, is I have some huge mufflers that sit low and they only hit because the suspension is so soft now. If I go slow enough, they don't hit. I'm planning on getting this kit; thanks for posting it. I couldn't find one anywhere. I think that with the stiffer suspension, the car won't bounce so low and should be good even though it's getting lowered.

Yeah I looked like everywhere and couldnt find anything but came across this and already paid for it. They take friekin forever to ship stuff out, it sucks.

When I get it, I'll tell you guys how it handles. Right now its really bad, it bottoms out like mad if i hit bumps over like 30. And the body roll kills, just sucks. And oem replacement shocks probably do nothing so thats why i bought this kit. I've never heard of that company though, but whatever. Im sure it'll be good.

Btw, you guys know a good place to get a new lower control arm for the drivers side? I fried mine on a curb the other day. Rubs against the chassis over anything (speedbump, driveway) and sounds like bs.

Anyhow thanks

Vogtland Lowering Springs. I'm not sure if these are any better, but i have heard that these are probably the best suited for our cars. I heard they don't rub and they still give you that low look. And they area way cheaper! I am ordering some hopefully this week. Here is the site i found to get them from: http://www.vogtlandsuspension.com/index.html
hope this helps.

If you look on the website, those are the same thing as the Tokico. In the description it says so.

The other website has a cheaper price, but I checked out reviews on the seller and they have shit reviews so I would not buy from that website. Don't know about the one you posted, though.
