Clunking Sound Recorded

Alright,
After getting sick and tired of not being able to describe the certain sound, I recorded it on my phone, I apologize for other noises, my phone was sliding across my dashboard haha.

http://boxstr.com/files/download/413...h/Clunking.mp4

Can anyone verify that sound that they had before and what fixed the problem? I am getting it from both sides in the front. Thanks Again!

That sounds like your struts to me. Either your strut mounts are loose and just need a little tightening, or you need some new ones.

Got the front ones replaced not to long ago.... It's been doing this for years, where would be the easiest place to try and tighten the mounts?

You can try and tighten them by just opening up your hood and the bolts for the struts should be right above the wheel wells.

What parts did you have replaced? Just the struts, the strut mounts, or both?

When you get those parts replaced, did it stop making the noise? Did it quiet it down a little?

If when they replaced the parts initially it didn't do anything, it could be just your bushings.

Ill try and tighten down the mounts. Not sure what was replaced, i know the struts were for sure, not too sure on the mounts though.

Strut mounts, sway bar bushings, pins..control arm bushings...any of the bushings or pins in the suspension can cause thumping or clunking. We replaced $700 dollars of pins and bushings till I quieted our '99 down.
