New guy needs strut help

OK here is what I have. 1996 Avalon that I have already replaced the front struts. Since then I have a wobbling noise in front end over uneven ground. After checking threads I should have replaced the upper strut mounts when I did the struts.
Here is the question; the bearing that comes with the MOOG mount does not resemble the stock mount...Does the large rubber seal on the bearing face up or down and the opposite with the small rubber seal. I can't remember and mine are so worn out they are missing....

2007 Solara
2004 Nissan SC crew cab 4x4 longbed
1996 avalon
1994 F150 4x4
1993/1995 Saturn SL2s
2006 1100 custom
1982 midnight special 550

On Toyota OEM mounts the large bearing seal faces down toward the strut, the smaller red seal goes up. Yours should be the same.

The mount can look different then stock just as long as it fits, same with the bearing..

General question. Are the MOOG mounts better...or the same as OEM? Any recommendations on mount upgrades?

Don't know about MOOG. KYB's are often used by their finish is not on par with Toyota, they work OK though.

I can't say much I still have alot of front end noise. The mounts work great, but I was told they are transfering noise up the stut into the strut towers???? This was said by the alignment shop due to my questioning during an alignment. I have already replaced the sway bar bushings too and they also seem to make more noise? It is not so bad when cold out but gets worse as the temp rises outside.
