1998 Dimming lights and ABS light on

I am just posting this for information that might help other people. For the longest time, my ABS light was on and I didn't bother to get it checked because I didn't want to drop money on it just yet. The other day my lights were dimming pretty badly when stepping on the brakes and coming to a stop. I checked and it turned out to be the alternator that was dying out.

After replacing the alternator (I have HIDs and amps so I went for the larger one too), my ABS light went away and the ABS/Traction control work perfectly again!

If you disconnected the battery this may have reset the ABS system.

We did but used a portable jump start unit on the car so I didn't loose any of the settings on my stereo (I put in an aftermarket Kenwood DVD receiver so I don't wanna lose my settings). Not too long ago I did the reset and my battery died completely and I put in a new one, but the ABS problem didn't go away, so I'm sure it was not the reset.
