white residue on oil cap

Hello i was checking my oil and notice a creamy residue on the oil cap but when I checked the dipstick about 4 dips no white residue showed on the stick just oil. Secondly I put down the oil cap down for about 2 minutes or more and looked at the cap and noticed most of the creamy residue on the cap was gone as though it disappear by just sitting there do I have a problem or is this normal the car drives fine and the temperature gauge is at were is should be.

Thanks

Probably just a little moisture condensing in the cap when the engine cools way down. I wouldn't worry about it; it will probably disappear once it warms up outside. I find the same thing on all of my cars during the winter; I have found moisture on the upper part of the dipstick that alarmed me; but it goes away when it warms up. As long as your crankcase oil isn't milky, nothing to worry about.
