VSV for EGR

I recently had the trouble of the P401 code, insufficient air flow EGR, come up on my 96 avalon with 119,000 miles on it. I read many threads and no one came up with the toyota part number for the VSV. The many things that I have read seems that there is some misinformation out there. There are 3 VSV's in the engine. The VSV for the EGR part number is 90910-12080. I replaced mine and cleared the code and the check engine light has not come back on. I paid $73.99 + $8.00 to ship thru one of the many web-sites. Local Toyota dealer gets $125.99 + 8% tax = $136.00 - saved $54.00 besides what I saved in Labor for installing myself. It is only one little screw and a couple of vacuum tubes that you have to take off and put back on. If you get this code try the VSV (EGR) TOYOTA part#90910-12080

I put in the OEM part number into the Toyotapartscheap.com the way I seen it and nothing found in the inventory. Thought I did something wrong and tried it again same result.

here is what i did. open up the home page, click on the red bubble on the left side when the next screen populates, go to where it says "search by part number or keyword" type in the part number 90910-12080, and hit search.
It comes right up with a price of Item NumberMSRPCore PricePrice9091012080$92.05$0.00$73.64

It should work, I did not have a problem with it so I cut and pasted to this thread. Good luck

FYI - my '97 used a different part number
#90910-12174
$63.06 at toyota-parts.com
Looks like you can save a few bucks on the '96 part there also.
