Preferred Valve Cover Gasket and Plugs for Avalon 1997

Is there a preferred gasket for the valve cover gasket and plugs for this vehicle. Should I pull from the dealer? Anything else to do while I'm in there other than check valve clearance?

I am getting ready to do my valve cover replacement on my Avalon. I called up AutoZone, Pep Boys and Advanced Auto Parts for prices and to see who has what parts in stock. Anyways i ordered 1 set of valve cover gaskets from AutoZone for $20.99 and 1 upper intake plenum gasket for $29.99. Now i am trying to find a cheap place to order NGK spark plugs. You might need to order the parts like i had to. So call ahead

I have ALWAYS used FELPRO gaskets. I just put Felpro valve cover gaskets on my 2002 Trans Am when i had my valve covers off.

Good Luck

I went ahead and got the gasket from the dealer, front gasket alone was $18. The NipponDenso original replacements were $10 each. I only did the front cover (easy one).
