The 96 Avy has the AM/FM/Cassette with the pocket underneath. I'd like to get the slave CD player but I'm not sure what one fits.

Behind the radio is another connector that looks like the radio one with less pins, is that the connector I need? Or does the CD player plug into the round connector on the back of the radio itself?

Plugs into the round plug in back of current radio.

Ebay often lists these CD players.

Suggest you consider getting a new complete aftermarket radio/CD player. The OEM CD player tends to jam up and fail over time. Repair if even currently available is more then the player is worth.
