New axle?

i have a shaking kind of feeling, kind of like the wheel is out of balance, but more severe. i have had my struts replaced a few weeks ago, and i have eliminated that (they needed to be replaced anyway. Wheel doesnt look wobbly and i rotated the tires and it feels the same as it did before. it shakes the steering wheel at 50-80mph but the car doesnt shake much. it has just been really annoying and im starting to think its a real problem and not in my head. there is no sound associated with it and my mechanic checked axle play, and didnt find any. wtf is it? its been bugging me for months.

A competent shop should have noticed any obvious suspension problems when changing the struts. If a tire problem rotating them should have moved the problem around.

Any brake pedal pulse when braking?

Does the shake get worse when braking?

its noticable when braking, and the pedal does pulse more when braking harder, and the car pulls to the left when braking. the rotors have never been replaced on the car, and ive got over 100k mi. on it. i was even thinking about going with

or some sort of drilled / slotted / any combination rotor as a replacement for the front.

thoughts / suggestions? has anyone done this on here that could advise on some tips or tricks or obstacles to watch out for...?
