Power window regulator

Would anyone know if the power window regulator for driver's door can be replaced with one from a Camry?

thanks hope anyone can help me

I have a 2001 Avalon it might be a 1999 in the US

Hello and welcome to TN. The motors are not interchangeable due to different bolt pattern and drive gear. Not sure about the regulator though. You could check your local wrecker for a replacement motor. I'd recommend checking your regulator for any problems before ordering the motor. You may want to get a motor/regulator combo just to be safe.

Thanks for the info. actually the cable broke on the side that supposed to close the window(going-up).so, a complete assembly would be the best way(i guess). ive tried a few wreckers but they all told me that they dont have avalons in their yards at the moment. avalons are not as common as camrys here in OZ. but i was just thinking of a quicker way to solve my prob. there is a 2 month wait on a brand new one. unless i stumble on a dealer that has it on stock. but will have to keep trying. thanks again.
