Thats Nesquick from the 3rd gen forums.

Thats not a cold air intake but instead it is essentially a short ram.

He built that with Spectre parts which I do believe come from your local Kragens or Autozone.

He bought the filter and put it onto the stock tubes, but than eventually bought metal piping that fit his car.

Will short ram give you more power, or is it just for the deeper sound. is it possible to copy that same idea and make it work for the avalon.

Some people say that short ram will give you more power whereas some people say it wont.

Well short ram is that you are just sucking up all the hot air coming from the engine, so the air is not as dense as the air coming from the outside.

I am currently running a Cosmo Short Ram intake and the sound is very apparent which is a deeper sound. I love it!!!

I will be posting pictures of my car soon so you can see what the cosmo looks like.

Yes you can copy the same idea that nesquick did because i was doing that before. I took a cone air filter and put it directly on my stock tubes.

Cosmo is such an easy install. Its all bolt on so no mechanical knowledge needed haha

With the question about the check engine light absolutely no problem at all. So all good.

The only problem which I dont like is that there was no Carb sticker sniff sniff. haha

But look for my thread very soon.

It was a total of $90.50 which was shipped too. which is much cheaper than most short rams out there and plus its plug and play.

I was running what nesquick which was the cone air filter, and you should start with that and see if you like what the increase is or not.

Ahh like Riverside. Yeah when you come up we will see how many people we can get together.

This forum doesnt do a lot of meets but Im down to meet new people. haha

Oh forgot to ask you which year Avy are you running?

If its the 95-96 than its this one.

http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...d=126&pid=1832

If its a 97-99 than its this one

http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...d=126&pid=1439

The reason is because it depends on your MAF sensor
