Arrow Radio Questions

My '95 avalon has a 6 disk in the trunk that does not read any cds...

My question is, can i buy a radio off of Ebay from like a corolla or what not that has a 6 disk built in the radio? Basically will it work with my cars wiring harness? Also if it will work, with the din be the exact same so there are no gaps with the bezel trim?

Thanks

Most standard double DIN's will work. I have a double DIN in mine. You're problem is going to be the harness. If you don't have premium audio on your Avalon, it might be easier, although it looks like those stereos have to sets of outputs, and one might have pre-amp outputs.

I think i have the premium audio on the radio. I have the original window sticker and my radio upgrade was like $1,200

I jsut want to get a factory looking radio from another Toyota that will fit perfectly, that also has a 6 disk built in changer....

Is it possible for me to do that?

It might not be an easy job. From what I see on those stereos, it seems most of them are made to fit the dash on the car they're for (they have a plastic edge around).

The premium audio system costs so much because they add an amplifier and Harman/Kardon speakers all around with custom ported boxes in the doors. This, though, requires the stereo to have pre-amp outputs.

Those stereos have two sets of outputs, so they might have the pre-amps on one of them, but the harnesses won't line up right and you would have do some hacking of wires and finding the wiring diagram for the stereo.

are you using an aftermarket radio? Or do you have your stock radio?

I really want an OEM Toyota radio with a 6 cd in dash cd player

I am using an aftermarket radio. I wanted to go the same route you did, but was having issues with the harness and what not. But when you can have a DVD loaded with MP3 or plug in an iPod/Flash drive, 6 CDs are no longer necessary.

I can really see why you want it, though. Just won't be easy.
