burning smell, auto tranny jerks HARD from R to D since flush

so ever since i got my tranny flushed, tranny started sucking..

i had about 110k when i got it flushed.. never flushed b4, they used one of the dextron fluids.. cant remember the exact one.

so this is the problem: when the car is cold, tranny will slip.. until warmerd up.. specially 3rd to 4th.. but i can deal with that..
main issue is:
after car is warmed up.. if i shift from either R to D or D to R.. car will jerk really hard. but shifts perfectly between 1,2,3 and 4..

anybody else dealt with this??

should i drain and fill 3 times..? should i install a tranny cooler?
i have a 99 model btw.

Your are prolly going to need a trans build now. The car had 110K and was never flushed, so chances are there were metal shavings in there helping the tranny to shift. Now with new unburnt fluid it is so slippery that it is slipping now.

This why i have not flushed my tranny. It has 221K on it. What i do is drain the pain every couple months. Helps keep the fluid fresh.

But like i said, you are going to need a rebuild now on the trans

Sorry

Step 1 -- be sure whoever did it has the fluid level correct. That could be your problem.

If it is correct, then I am afraid I agree with the last post.

I will never let someone flush any tranny I have again! It may just be dumb luck, but I have had exactly what happen to you happen to me with a Ford.
