98 XLS Keyless Entry and Driver's Lock
Whenever my dad bought my 1998 Avalon XLS for me, there was no remote for the keyless entry. I was looking online, and there seem to be two remotes that would work with the car. Could anyone tell me if it requires the factory installed remote, or if it requires the dealer installed security system remote, or even just how to tell? Also, the driver's door lock tries to lock, but it does not lock or unlock the whole way without help, could it just need oiled, or is it maybe something else? Thanks very much!
