Question Short ram intake = P150 & P153 error

Hey, I know that the short rams and CAI systems have been talked to death here and was wondering if anyone has figured out why after a Short ram intake was installed that the Check Engine light goes on. I get a P150 and P153 error code. I have changed to a K&N cone filter and replaced all three of the oxygen sensors and I still get this problem. What trips the sensor? Heat? intake pressure? I have had this light on for two years and now I need to get my emissions tested at the end of next month. how do I fix this with the short ram? fyi, I have the torpedo style MAF sensor if that makes any difference. Thanks! - J

When you installed it, did you by any chance have a breather hose that you could no longer connect?

I did, a small one that connected to the bottom of the airbox. but i made a hookup for it directly to it on the intake

Where did you hook it up now? Closer to the throttle body or to the air filter?

If you connected close to the throttle body, it will create a large amount of vaccuum on the hose which will throw off the sensor and cause errors. (I'm not sure what sensor). I did this on mine and it caused CEL to go on and also a wavering idle.
