96 Avalon ABS distribution box

My parents have a 96 Avalon with ABS, the ABS distribution box has started leaking..The local dealer said they have never changed one but rebuilt them, after market price is 850.00..Can I bypass the ABS box, if so do I need some type of balancing valve? THANKS FOR THE HELP..Let me know if you've got one laying around for sale...Dave

Where is the dealer getting the parts to rebuild the unit?

Perhaps it is just a seal you can replace yourself.

Have you tried auto junk yards?

After searching most of the local salvage yards we did find a used ABS actuator, the years 94-96 interchanged together..The 20 dollar purchase was worth every penny, but now we are looking into a gasket O ring set for the leaking actuator, and have a local company Potter associates that said they can get the O rings for it at a good price..I am going to try to up load some pics soon..Thanks for the response.
