97ava New TN User Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Atlanta Posts: 27 Gameroom cash: $1500 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts iTrader Score: 0 reviews	Car is sputtering My 97 Avalon sputters when I initially start the car and when I put the car in reverse, but when I hit the gas or put it in drive the sputtering stops. In addition, when the a/c is on when I start the car, it really sputters violently. I would really hate for my car to die on me. Can anyone give me an idea what is causing the sputtering?

You can get a can of Seafoam deep creep and clean it with a toothbrush. Have the spark plugs and air filter been replaced recently? How many miles on it? __________________ 1996 Paseo 5E-FE 269,xxx miles - Gotta fix that sagging DS door. New hinges on the way. 1993 Camry LE 5S-FE 249,xxx miles - New water pump, TB etc etc 1989 Camry-Gone but not forgotten. Car has become a birthday gift for my cousin. 1997 Mazda B2300 213,xxx miles - New flasher relay installed.
