Check your gas cap. It may sound simple but if the gasket is broken the fumes will get out. If the fuel lines, fuel filter, etc. have been checked and there is no fuel leak, you may have a leaky injector. Open your air filter box and check for fuel odor. If it reeks of fuel when you open it, chances are good you have a problem with an injector or injector seals. Has the car been running normally? Do you notice the smell on start-up after the car has been sitting for a while?
