tires

i'm gonna buy new wheels for my 96 avalon and i'm debating between tires.i'm looking at 3 brands right now: Bridgestone Potenza RE760,Kumho Ecsta SPT ,Good Year Eagle F1 and Good Year GT.
i'm just tryin to find out if anybody used any of these tires on their avalon or just knows more than me about tires. i don't care that much about perfomance i just want comfort and very very low noise!
thanks

Well, you say you want low noise, I purchased some Dunlop SP Sport 4000's and they are ridiculously in terms low noise. My only complaint is that tread life isn't the longest. Rain performance is also great. As for snow, I don't know, cause I switch to winter tires in November... Tirerack is your best friend, but from your selection, I'm seing that you picked out some mild performance tires That kinda confused me when I first read your post... I had some Michelin's prior to my Dunlop's, and they were good on tread life and performance, but road noise was a tad bit high for me. My friend recently purchased some bridgestone turanza's and he invited me for a drive, they were great overall, but they weren't as good as my Dunlop's in terms of road noise...

well,i got the selection by browsing at tirerack. i can afford tires around 150$ a piece and after i chose the wheels at tirerack the size they recomended 215/45R18 .....and around 150 $ those were the tires that came up.i looked and i see that they don't carry the dunlop sp 4000 in that size.
this brings me to another question how wide can i go with the tire ,what's the limit for the 96 avalon?

i have bridgestone potenza re960 and i have to say i love them. im not an expert on tires so i wouldnt know how to rate them but they're definitely quieter than my moms accord on dunlop. i read reviews that they're not the best for thread life but that was only because those people said they drove aggressive. i think you should be fine though.. i mean whos gonna burn out in a avalon. so far im having excellent thread wear.. i think its coming close to 15k miles with them. also my dad has the good year gt.. although i have not been in his car much to tell you anything, but my dad loves good year.
