Gen1 Going to check out this 95 XLS

I'm going to go see this car in a few days and wanted some advice on how and what to look out for.

http://bigislandcars.com/listing-199...VALON-526.html

No accidents and 3 owners. I'm in Maryland right now and the car is in Hawaii so I haven't seen it yet. So far from what I understand, I should check.

1. Steering boots - Um.. Where is that?
2. CV boots - That's the rubber boot things near the suspension stuff right?
3. Metal on trans dip stick
4. Leaks - Places in particular?
5. Check for suspension noises? - What is it, clunking noises?
6. Engine mount noises?

Is there a way to see all the services done to the car w/the VIN? Please let me know if I'm missing anything and please try to be detailed. Thanks!

go to carfax.com and they'll show you the records i don't remember if they show you all the work that's been done to a car,but you get more info in the car.it's like 30 $ but i think it's worth it especially if you're willing to go to hawaii for the car.

I got the autocheck because it had more logs. It all checked out but it had no info on service records. I called Toyota and asked if the could tell me the service records w/the VIN but no go. It seems like it was in one area for most of its history so I'm going to try calling the dealerships in the area and see if it was taken there. So any more thoughts or advice?

i don't know man.....i just seems too much that you have to do for the car(hawaii) and it's 5000$(it's probably worth it though if it has low miles),now don't get me worng i think they're great cars,i own one,it's a 96 and i got for 3000$.i would try to look around closer i'm sure you can find one maybe for less money.it's just my opinion man.if you really want it bad you should get it,there's stuff that i want it really bad and nothing could stop me from getting them.
if you do get it i'm sure you'll love it!!!

Oh...
I'm not going to ship the car from Hawaii dude!
I'm moving to Hawaii tomorrow and am going to go check it out when I get there. In terms of price, I'm going to kinda a remote island in Hawaii and I don't have many choices. Most of the Toyotas and Hondas are very pricey. As long as everything is running right I'm going to try to get the car for 5k out the door. Maybe I'll just give it a try and pretend to walk out at 4k or something.
