your so lucky that you have a 98 avalon, the 95 was the only year with the maf sensor as big as the tube. Most intakes with your maf is pretty cheap and decent.

Hopefully you will have fun with it.

You will be accelerating pretty hard nowadays simply because its so much fun with it on

and nice gauge cluster which leds are you using superbrightleds or cheap ebay ones

Yeah, lol, defiantly found myself flooring it most of the time. The MAF looks so cool, like a jet engine, why is yours so big??

I'm using the wide angle 5 led ones from SuperBrightLEDS, I really like them because there even and bright.

The 95's is like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MASS-...4506.m20.l1116

I was wondering though... does the 95's MAF respond the same as the 97+'s, because I could probably buy a 98's or so from a junkyard to put on the new intake.

wouldnt a solara intake have worked better since it has the same maf? that would've got rid of the resonator and the rest of the rubber hose.

Ok I dont exactly know what the MAF of the 96 Avy looks like.

It is either the shape of like this

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...4506.m20.l1116t

or a rectangular shape.

If its the shape like the tube, than that particular intake you showed for the solara will not fit it at all.

You would need to buy an intake that has a spot for the larger MAF.

Why cant you just hook an intake up after the MAF?? Grab some Spectre tubing and create your own CAI or SRI?
