Interior Lights not working

Hello All,

I'm new to the forums here. I've done a few searches and found nothing so maybe a few experts might be able to chime in and help me out. Recently picked up a 96 Avalon. The lights for the AC display, the fan control, temp control, and shifter are not lighting up. I went ahead and changed the bulbs out and still nothing. I checked the fuses but all are good. Are there other fuses for these lights? Or am I just dealing with a possible short?

Thanks!

Unhappy

The bulb is very easy to get to. The plastic shroud around the shifter pops right out with a little force. Then if you look below or feel below the shifter area you will noticed a bulb housing sticking out with a wire attached to it. Just twist and pull and it will release.

I changed the bulb but the light still doesnt come on.

Check with a simple light tester to see if you've got power to the circut. Every once in a great while you'll get a defective bulb.
