LED dash light help 96 avalon

I want to change all of my dash lights to LEDs since they are so dim. Can anyone tell me what size bulbs it takes before I try pulling everything apart? Please be aware that I don't know anything about cars so any help you can give this girl will be greatly appreciated :-)

Gauges: 194 bulbs (For the main lighting, not PRND lights or other signals)
ECT/Air Recirculation: 4mm NeoWedge
Temperature Controls: 4mm NeoWedge (Electronics controls)
Temperature Controls: 74 bulbs (Dial controls)
Dome light: DE3175
Doors: 194 bulbs

You can find the 4mm NeoWedge bulbs at superbrightleds.com. Another site that I like to use is also v-leds.com, but they don't carry the 4mm bulbs.

Thank you so much! I am going to try and order them all now. Is it hard to put them all in?

Well, for someone that doesn't know much about cars, it might be a little as it requires taking of some of the panels and disconnecting cables. Not very complicated, just make sure to keep track of screws! The panels are a little hard to come off, but don't need pry bars...maybe a simple flat head screw driver.

I'm doing this mostly out of memory, but it should be pretty accurate.

4x 194 bulbs for gauges
2x 184 bulbs for the door courtesy lights
2x 4mm NeoWedge for ECT/AC (I think with these, though, air recirc will not turn on as it uses a diffuser)
3x 74 bulbs for the temperature dials
1x DE3175 for the dome light

I don't know how many bulbs you need for the electronics temperature controls as I don't have that version of the Avalon. Maybe someone else on here can share the knowledge?

I do warn though, that since LEDs aim light and do not just spread it, you'll get spots that are brighter than others. For the air recirculation buttons, it will probably not get lit up because the diffuser is on the side of the bulb, and LEDs don't spread light that much (at least not the 4mm ones). I think the electronic temperature controls have the same issue.

Thank you so much. I'm trying to change the colors to blue because the stereo I had installed has a bright blue screen and now everything looks a little off. Since the LEDs don't spread light should I try something else?

Well, there's really not much more in the options of changing the color. The only other thing would be to do your own custom wiring to have more LEDs to have better lighting, but that's a lot more work.

EDIT: For the bigger bulbs (194, 74) you can order ones with wide angle LEDs and some of them even have LEDs that point sideways, so keep a lookout for those types of LEDs.
