I dont think anyone in this forum has. It really depends on your car. I know that retrofitting is great and all (safer too), but the first gen Avalon (before she died) had very good cut offs stock. Just don't forget to adjust those lights if you do go stock though. Blinding people is a no-no.

Well I'm rounding up parts for MY retrofit on a Civic Si. But it got me thinking about my gf's Avalon, and whether or not anyone on here had done it. I saw several people had thrown in a PnP kit, but didn't see any with a projector retro. If it was done, it would probably take some custom lens work too, in order to get rid of the fluting, or retro-ing some post 98 headlamps.

I haven't done it, but have been thinking about it. The easiest and cheapest thing to do would be to go ahead and buy some fog light projector (P6 on ebay I think are the common ones) and modify the headlight housing to take those. I believe the P6 have angel eyes/halos, so big plus there.

If you want to go all out, you can get the TSX projectors and whatever lenses/shrouds you want and try to mount those on. The hardest part is just getting the alignment right when you're cutting up your housings.

Cleaned the lens with wet sand paper (1000 grit, 2000grit) & then with tooth paste. Replace low beams(HB4 9006) with Toshiba HIR 9012. What a difference!! Seeing the road a lot better in dark.

Sand papers few dollars.
Tooth Paste
Two HIR $80 (including taxes in Canada

I put Infiniti FX BiXenons in my car. It was really not hard. It did take several days, because I didn't plan ahead and order the correct parts, but they turned out really good.

Did you have to modify anything to fit with those bulbs?

The HIR's are about twice as bright as the stock halogens and much better than installing a PnP HID kit (more even light where it is supposed to go.)

Here is a source for the bulbs.

Here are the instructions for modifying the base.
