Exclamation Spark Plug Wires????

Hello All,
I have what might be considred as a newbee question. My question is does the 95 Avalon have spark plug wires? I tought it didnt because it has coils. I seen on ebay and other site that they sell them in packs of 3. Why 3 if it has 6 cylinders and if it does have wires where are they? Please help I am going crazy on this.
Thanks

No worries, everyone has questions! There are only 3 spark plug wires, and they run from the back cylinders to the front of the engine, then plug in to a coil which also functions as a "wire" for the front cylinders. Pull the top cover (2 allen head bolts I believe) and you will see what I mean. The wires are concealed under the cover and run along the left side towards the rear cylinders.

If the wires are cracked and worn out, maybe. How many miles are on the engine? Are you getting any check engine lights? The spark plugs and wires should last a long time.

I think 172,000 but no check engine light i got the car @ 120,000. I was just trying to tune up as much as i can and it was running a little slugish. What else would you recomend for performance and to get the most out of this car.

There's all the usual tune up stuff - air/fuel filters, gas conditioners, etc. Do you notice a hesitation when you step on the gas? Does it run rough at an idle?
