Hello all,

Id thought I would post this here, I've been dabbling around with a carputer lately, with OBDII interfacing. And it was a question i had for the longest time, and I've finally answered it.

The 1MZ-FE's fuel consumption;

Idle: 0.28gal/hour

Idle w/ AC: 0.38gal/hour

Just one of those random things to think about!

Note that it probably only really makes a difference at idle. Once driving, AC doesn't really consume more gas (it does reduce power output). The reason being that the engine bumps up the RPM slightly to run the compressor at idle. When driving, the stepping up of the RPM is not needed.
