Brake Bleeding

I am bleeding the brakes on my '99. When I loosen the bleeders I get leakage around the bleeder screws. I have tried using a bleeder with a check valve, and a gravity bleed. Is there any problem putting grease around the threads to prevent leakage? Can any grease get sucked back in and cause a problem?

I had a similar leakage and used a very tiny amount of grease. A tiny bit of teflon tape would do same.
